Configure, don’t customise
Scheme rules and workflows should be adaptable without turning every client into a separate technology estate.
Our story
PensionOS grew from first-hand experience of the operational reality behind pension administration. Skilled people were spending too much time checking data, validating calculations and working around systems that are hard to change safely.

Why PensionOS
Across regulated financial services and technology, I had seen what modern platforms can make possible. Then, working directly in UK pension administration, I saw how much critical work still depended on manual checking, fragmented data and systems that were difficult to change.
When a calculation changes, a pension team needs more than a new number. They need to understand why it changed, who is affected, who is not affected, and whether the evidence is strong enough to stand behind the outcome.
When data moves, the important question is not simply whether a migration job completed. It is whether every record can be accounted for, problems are surfaced rather than hidden, and the receiving team can prove what happened.
The principles behind the platform
Scheme rules and workflows should be adaptable without turning every client into a separate technology estate.
Important outcomes should be explainable and traceable, not reconstructed after the event.
Automation should remove repetitive work while preserving the governance pension operations require.
Rule changes should be tested against known scenarios so teams can see expected and unexpected impact before accepting them.

Where we are going
The UK is the starting point because it is where the problem is understood deeply and where PensionOS can be proved with real pension administration use cases.
The platform is being designed around a reusable governed core, with pension rules, calculations and workflows configured around the arrangement rather than hard-wired into a separate product for every scheme or market.
